Duties & Responsibilities of a Cashier

• Handle daily cash transactions, credit/debit card payments, and other modes of payment accurately.

• Issue receipts, refunds, and invoices to customers in a professional manner.

• Maintain cash registers and ensure proper cash balancing at the end of each shift.

• Assist customers with queries related to billing and purchases.

• Keep accurate records of financial transactions for reporting purposes.

• Support administrative and accounting tasks when required.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain confidentiality of financial data.

• Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar retail/finance role preferred.

• Basic knowledge of accounting and handling cash registers.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Good communication skills in English and Dhivehi.

• Honest, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
