Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our resort’s maintenance team. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems to ensure the safe and efficient distribution of water and proper wastewater management. The Plumber will oversee plumbing operations in guest rooms, staff facilities, kitchens, public spaces, and outdoor areas, while also supporting preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, pumps, heaters, and fixtures.

Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergencies involving leaks, blockages, or faulty equipment.

Carry out routine inspections to detect wear, corrosion, and potential plumbing issues.

Service and maintain resort pools, hot tubs, and spa-related plumbing.

Unblock drains, repair leaks, and replace worn or damaged fixtures when required.

Assist during emergencies such as water supply interruptions or flooding.

Work alongside other maintenance staff to deliver preventive and routine maintenance across the resort.

Respond promptly to plumbing-related requests from both guests and staff.

Keep accurate logs of maintenance tasks, inspections, and materials used.

Ensure all plumbing work adheres to safety regulations, local codes, and resort standards.

Monitor and manage plumbing tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.

Liaise with external contractors for specialized or large-scale repairs when needed.

Contribute to water and energy conservation efforts by identifying and correcting inefficiencies.

Read and interpret blueprints or technical plans to determine plumbing layouts for new installations.

Follow safety procedures and use protective gear at all times.

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a trade or vocational school is an advantage.

Valid plumbing license or certification.

At least 1–2 years of plumbing experience; resort or hospitality background in the Maldives is an added benefit.

Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.

Ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.

Physically fit, with the ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
