IT Technician Job in Maldives

Post: IT technician
Preferably: A male employee
Salary: MVR 10,794.00 (equivalent to USD 700.00)
Accommodation and Food allowance: MVR 5,000.00 (equivalent to USD 324.25)

Key Responsibilities:

• User Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
• Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Software Management: Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and drivers.
• Network Support: Assist in configuring and maintaining the local area network (LAN) and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Security: Implement and enforce security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption, to safeguard company data and systems.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, support tickets, and system configurations.
• Remote Support: Provide remote support to off-site employees and remote offices, ensuring consistent IT services.
• Upgrades and Installations: Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades, including system installations, patches, and updates.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate hardware repairs, maintenance, and software licensing.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their IT proficiency and awareness of cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Proven experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with network technologies and protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
