Meat Street Restaurant in Hulhumalé is looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our growing culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in a dynamic kitchen environment and gain hands-on experience in continental cuisine.


Duties & Responsibilities

As a Commis Chef, you will:

  • Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

  • Prepare, cook, and present continental cuisine dishes according to restaurant standards.

  • Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and consistency.

  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld in all kitchen areas.

  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing ingredients properly.

  • Support in menu preparation, mise en place, and plating.

  • Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver timely and high-quality meals.

  • Comply with all food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.


Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques.

  • 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant (preferred).

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and presentation.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
