Meat Street Restaurant in Hulhumalé is looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our growing culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in a dynamic kitchen environment and gain hands-on experience in continental cuisine.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Commis Chef, you will:

Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Prepare, cook, and present continental cuisine dishes according to restaurant standards.

Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and consistency.

Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld in all kitchen areas.

Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing ingredients properly.

Support in menu preparation, mise en place, and plating.

Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver timely and high-quality meals.

Comply with all food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
Requirements

Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques.

1–2 years of kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant (preferred).

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and presentation.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
