This position will be responsible to prepare, cook and serve foods according to standard procedures, recipe cards, and plating guides and per his manager’s guidance and instruction. He assists the Sous Chef to train and supervise junior kitchen staff. He prepares and cooks foods in all areas of the assigned kitchens and he participates in the control of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Requirements / Qualification
- Minimum 02 years of experience in a related field
- Experience across multiple sections of the kitchen is an added advantage.
- A positive “can do attitude” with good team work
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Supports the Sous Chef in the day-to-day operation of the assigned kitchen to help maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation of all meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner and other catering events as required.
- Prepares food for guests efficiently, economically, and hygienically as per standardized recipes and follows the Executive Chef’s standards and instructions.
- Demonstrates a high standard of personal hygiene, grooming and uniform presentation are always upheld.
- Demonstrates a high standard of food hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen and storage.
- Follows standard operating procedures and policies
